Faith Value Experiences: YW Personal Progress 2011!

Hebrews 11; Alma32:17-43 Ether 12:6-22, and JS History 1;11-20!
2 Conference Talks:

Wow! Still so impressed that the propeht, Enoch was translated:) what an inspiration for me to continue to strengthen my testimony!
Faith is such a beautiful thing! When I think of faith I think of a child and the innocence and purity they have.  I think of their faith in Jesus, in their parents, in their family, and their yearning to believe and to know!!! I am thankful for my faith in Jesus, in Heavenly Father, in the Holy Ghost, and in the Book of Mormon and especially how reading it everyday truly changes my life and helps me have focus and purpose to remember what we're here on earth for!!! Also, truly reading every single day has been one of the most amazing blessings I've ever realized in my life! I used to read some here and some there, but to truly read everyday something in me changed and I really can understand so much more now!!! I can really feel and LISTEN to the Spirit and what I need to learn with much more clarity!!! Reading everyday has shown me the language of our Father in Heaven and helped me to know how he speaks to his children!  He can speak to me with the spirit and not always just in words as I'm learning through those men and women of the scriptures.  I remember a time in my life when I prayed and prayed to understand the Book of Mormon more.  I really feel now I have such a better grasp and true clarity and understanding for this wonderful book and the families in it! I feel I now truly relate to them as if they are my relatives :) back then I may have thought that was funny, but now I know they are and that their experiences and struggles were very real!  I know that I can learn so much through them and their examples! I'm truly learning to better understand how Heavenly Father speaks and to know him and Thy Son and Savior Jesus Christ!!! I also have learned so very much this past year from being a 1st counselor in YW's, from being a mother to adorable, fun, Nixon and from having Mono(sick for quite a while, but truly humbled! What a true blesssing in disguise for my life) I feel as though I was refined and strengthened and have a clartiy in my life I haven't had before!!! It also has strengthened my faith in the power of prayer! I had been praying for quite some time to have Clarity: to see things as they truly are in my life!  I had been praying to really understand the scriptures even better in my life and apply them to my own. Also to have a better grasp and knowlege of the teachings in this brilliant book.  I feel I have received that and continue to receive it each day I pray, read, and truly ponder!!!

The first conference talk I read was by Boyd K. Packer and called,  "Judge not according to the Appearance"
I really enjoyed this talk, so much so that I am going to post the whole thing to save in my journal! I love how he talks about judging others.  Also how if the church was concerned with keeping up appearances instead of the honest truth of the gospel then why would it run the way it does! I have been so impressed with Pres. Boyd K. Packer!  I am currently reading his book, "Mine Errand from the Lord!"  What an amazing book!!!  One special thing also is that I have met Pres. Packer and his sweet wife!  Morgan's dad was his assistant on his mission in New England when Pres. Packer was the mission president!  They have kept in touch very closely over the years.  Morgan actually got to ask him about marriage while he was dating me to make sure it was right!:) :)  Later we were lucky to go with Morgan's mom and dad to pick he and his wife up and take them church where Steve was in the Stake Presidency!  It was nice to be with them in the car and then later we got to take him home!  Morgan and I were newly married and he walked us around his yard and little bridge over a stream!  He told us as we walked over the bridge that it was a kissing bridge and we had to kiss!  I remember being super shy and so we gave each other a quick kiss!  Pres. Packer said that wasn't good enough and to kiss again! :) :) It was so funny! So we kissed again and longer:) and we passed the test!!!
